Fit Friend Friday - Jay & Ilona
Jay and Ilona are another of Singapore’s Spartan power couples. You’ll likely have seen them at races, heard them on The OCR Review podcast or bumped into them at any number of OCR based training events. Ilona was crowned 2019 SEA series champion and competed in China at APAC Champs and in Tahoe for World Champs. Jay is insanely passionate about OCR and his fitness and obstacle proficiency are both sky rocketing likely making 2020 his breakout year in the AG races.
Fit Friend Friday - Ashik & Ima Shaker
Ima & Ashik Shaker are the heads of South East Asia’s favourite Spartan family. You’ll see them at every race in the festival area with huge smiles shouting words of encouragement and cheering on all the other athletes, on the course they’re both great AG racers and don’t lose that spirit even when times get tough. They both, alongside mini Shakers Hera & Jada, regularly referee and volunteer at races to keep you all safe and ensure the right people win. We’re proud to consider the Shakers our friends and be able to feature them for this weeks Fit Friend Friday.
Fit Friend Friday - Kirsty Marchbank
Kirsty is an established Age-Group racer from Scotland in the UK and a regular feature in a podium position both in her races and on our Workout of the week leaderboard. After a strong 2019 which included three 1st places at Spartan events we’re looking forward to seeing her have an even bigger 2020.
Fit Friend Friday - Jada a.k.a Rebel Shaker
Jada is a familiar face at OCR races here in South East Asia. A competitive racer in the Spartan Kids category she represented Singapore at this years Kids World Champs in the US completing the tough course with a smile. The youngest member of The Shakers Family is small and mighty. With strong performances at every race and the confidence and ability to take on adult sized obstacles Jada is gonna be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come.
